Cheburashka and Krokodil Gena

Daddy grew up with this cartoon during communist Russia. It is the story of a Russin Goblin called Cheburashka. Mommy and I don't understand a word of it but we think the music is lovely!

Well the song Krokodil singing is actually about Birthdays and how they only come once a year :) That Truck says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" *Pojdeniya*
"Raz godu!" *Once a year*
And someone sent his a gift... it's Cheburashka with gift!
CH:Hello.
KG:Hello.
CH:For your birthday.
KG:Thank You! It's mine?
CH:Yes.
KG:Cheburashka, you are the best friend.

And then Cheburashka see's the Pioneers, which are like Boyscouts and wishes to be one. I will translate more later :)

Yeah, daddy is here. I can also translate!

Cheburashka says I would love to march like the pioneers and Krokodil Gena replies, To be a pioneer you have to do a lot of good things. Sounds funny now, but I actually used to believe that...
