12) Note on Sambucol. While shown to be effective for treating the flu, its effectiveness against novel coronavirus is unproven. This supplement does support immune system, so can potentially make it less likely for you or your child to catch the new virus, but there are no conclusive scientific studies that have been done on this. Many mummies swear that giving this to children does appear to make them less prone to common flu or cold, so probably does not hurt to give this to your child.

13) Note on probiotics. Not all are helpful for immune system. Biogaia is great for colic but not proven to be effective for immune system. Refer to the article below (scroll down) for a list of helpful strains - LactoGG will be one example. We do not carry this - but this should be available in many local stores.
